4l80 had 3 big changes over the years.
#1 = 91-93 bad internal wiring harnnes on vbody. gm swap kit avalible.
#2 = 95-up needs bolt bosses on left side of case for shifter switch for park/nutral inicator.
#3 = later years cooler lines went from top botom together to split front and back for better cooling. more heat in back so thay moved the hot output to the rear location.
but other than that all the same . just watch the spline length and 2x4 to 4x4. there is a freeze plug at 3* clock position on the tail of case were tail housing bolts to. 2x4 is pin hole for atf lube to bearing for slip shaft. 4x4 has solid plug. if not swaped out burn up will happen from low presure or no atf lube.
