My t350 is obviously being very generous with it's lifeblood and has been donating it to it's neighbor, mr np205.

The trans needs fluid often, but doesn't leak THAT bad, and when I pull the fill plug on the 205, fluid comes FLOWING out. Yup, red and way over full.

I have heard of a rear trans seal leaking, but pressurized?
It is actually making the TC leak weap.

Is it possible to have the rear seal done on the trans without taking it apart and pulling the tailshaft?

The leaking seals are in the tranfer case adapter.

You'll need to pull the t-case and adapter replace the lip seals and o-rings, there is no need to pull the trans apart. Best to do this soon, if trans fluid is getting in the t-case you can bet gear oil is getting in the trans and automatics do not like gear oil.

I don't know. It seems like auto trannies make some pressure. It's much less common for T-case oil to make it's way up into the tranny, even when both run ATF. In this case, the gear oil is thicker. The adapter seals I have seen are double seals, one facing in each direction, so one could fail while the other one still holds, causing the problem described.

Fixing it isn't much harder than pulling the T-case. Just get ready to catch the ATF!
