Guys, is this brace supposed to bolt up to the frame or is it spaced down with those spacers? I have seen it both ways, One truck I have had it bolted solid up against the frame with the spaces on top of the frame rail just taking up bolt space, another truck has the spacers between the bottom frame rail and the trans cross mount.

Which is it?

IIRC, the spacers went on top at the factory.

Lots of folks flip them down under when lifting the truck, which drops the tranny/transfercase a bit, to help with driveshaft angles.

Mine were below the crossmember. Regardless, the support mounts up against the frame. FYI: I HEARD that using them to lower the transfer case can lead to stress points on the frame and may lead to cracks. I imagine it also alters the angular relationship between pinion and tcase output.

Crossmember against the frame.
Running sleeves between = lazy and poor mans Tcase drop.
Using some 1x1 tubing would be far better, spreads the load instead of the sleeves digging into the frame and cracking
