can i take a 2 wheel drive trans and bolt it up to my np203 transfer case?

203 requires super short tail no 2wd shaft will work even cut down. you need the 203 tail.

What tranny do you have.
The input splines on the 203 are different depending on what tranny it was originally mated to.
You can swap the guts from the 2x tranny to the 4x one. The difference is the length of the output shaft.
You will have to pull the tranny all the way down.
Make sure you have the right adapter that goes from the tranny to the T case too.

and if swapping all the guts just REMAN IT and be done with it.

i have a turbo 350. my brother has a 700r4 he is willing to give me. how hard would it be to install this trans to a carb motor?
fyi swaping in a 700 from a 350 tranny will require new drive shafts and move the tranny/tcase crossmember and rework a few things.
turbo 350 easy to reman. should be able to get someone to reman one for few hundred bucks and get the parts for under 300ish.
or check on a reman with warrenty from local parts store.
