Anything you need for parts as far as trades go?

I need the 350/205 adaptor and sleeve. But I'm like looking for the deal of the century if you know what I mean.

67-72 Chev/GMC stuff, working tilt, tach dash, front bumper guards, rear chrome bumper, drop spindles/coils, etc...

Still here, 465/203 does not use a sleeve. I'll get a shipped price tomorrow.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it will. Hopefully one of the other guys here will chime in. This came off of a sm465 that has a 10spline out put shaft. Your 203 input spline will need to match your 465 output shaft. Lets wait to hear from the knowledge base here before we move on.

alright, sounds good. will the adapter bolt up to a 465 that has a 205 on it currently?
Yes, it will. But you're gonna need a coupling sleeve to mate the two shafts together.

AND...

As long as the 465 is the 10 spline shaft and not the long 32.

Wes, the 10 spline NP203 doesn't use a coupling sleeve. Take a look at the pics in 1tonmudder's post.

well to simplify things im thinking about building a doubler and from the information i gathered i need 32 spline stuff. i found a 203 thats 32 spline, i found the adapter to run between the 203 and the 465, and i found the 205 from behind a th400. i was told my 465 and 205 that are in my truck are 10 spline units so i would need to change the output shaft on my 465

You can change the SM465 to 32 spline using a short shaft from ORD, but it is not required. Running this 10 spline unit with the stock 10 spline output would also work. The 32 spline setup is just a little stronger and a lot more expensive.

so if i keep my output shaft a 10 spline on the 465, i have to run a 10 spline 203 correct? i also cant find on ords website where they have the 32 spline short shaft

I know. I was letting him know the adaptor would work for a 205 because I was under the assumption that he had a 465/203 combo and wanted to swap in a 205.

Got it now? :wink1:

Yes.

Call ORD and check to see if they still carry the 32 spline short shaft. I remember it was not cheap.
I think the short shaft was somewhere like in the $250 range.
