hey all. i just had a quick question. so last weekend i shimed my rear axle with a 2 1/2 degree shim to help with the axle vibe i was getting after installing my 4" tc lift. it helped out alot but i still have some axle shutter around 15-20 and 45 mph. so my question is should i try the transfer case drop or a 4 degree shim? any input would be helpfull.

thx

the transfer case drop is going to make your front shaft angle worse. But it will lessen the angle on the rear shaft and shorten the distance. A slip yoke eliminator would help but they are expensive. A CV shaft would also help but they are also expensive. What are your plans for the truck? how do you use it?

no plans so far for the truck except probably to get the rear driveline extended. i use the truck to go to the lake and hunting so its not an rock or anything like that.

since you will not be using it hard I would try a drop kit first since its cheap and if it doesn't work the way you want its easy to take out.
