Transfer case hitting the floor...help

My '90 with a 241 t-case has the exact same issue. You can see the contact mark on the floor where one of the ears on the housing contacts it.

Mine has new poly engine mounts, t-case mounts, and new poly body mounts.

What are your rear driveshaft angles???

Ya'll might have something with the slip-yoke. One of the things I did while I had it apart was install a slip-yoke eliminator kit. I haven't noticed it since. Problem is I did so many things during that tear down that I can't really think of anything specific that would've effected it.

I am thinking that with the 208 slip yoke that when you get on it or when it shifts it tries to slip the driveshaft into the case like normal, but I have so much axle wrap from my rear 56's that it tries to push it in alot more. The 208 slip must not be slipping like its supposed to which would cause the t-case to get pushed up with force, in turn hitting the floor.

That makes the most sense of anything I have heard so far. I bet it goes away when you do the SYE!

Its the only thing that makes since if all the mounts are good. You can either get a body lift and make it stop, drop t-case, or what I plan to do, build a anti-wrap bar.
Yes a SYE would take care of it :p:
My truck is not a DD anymore so I dont really care anymore. ;)

Talked to Jess today. He is out of the SYE, so I'm calling him back tomorrow and having one drop shipped. Well if I have to get a new driveshaft, I might as well go buy the military D60 and 14FF with the Detroit Locker, and if I'm doin that I might as well get the damn 37" pitbull Rockers.

Talk to you guys in a couple of weeks. I have to sell my sweet F150 to get the spare 3K to fix my vibration problem and get the burban running for a DD and figure out what I'm going to tell my wife about the whole thing. She is very understanding, but this may be pushing it. She doesn't know I even have the Burb yet.

LOL Three grand to fix my vibration problem, I should have called it a noise, That would justify spending 3K LOL
I am such an idiot.

I have completely stock drivetrain with no lift and a 203. So no slip yoke and I have this same problem. I have checked everything just about. I am thinking my rear axle may be experiencing wrap and casing this. Also when I get on the brakes hard and stop it is fine but as soon as I try to move I feel the backend drop.

What model truck do you have anyway? All this talk, and we don't even know what kind of truck it is... long bed, short bed, blazer, crew cab... what is it?

Now that I think about it, I had a Nissan Pick-up in the shop a few weeks ago with a similar problem, but I'll wait until I know what kind of truck you have before I tell you what the problem was on that. Only question I have other than model, is do you have a 2-piece rear driveshaft?

I'm gettin a 14ff and the SYE kit from Jesse at HAD, So I think the slip yoke issue is resolved.
