Can anyone tell me what t-case this is and if it is any good? It is on a 71 Blazer. I know it's a Dana

I have discovered it is a Dana 20. Some say they are bad abd some say they are good. Any opinions?

Again the Novak site is pretty informative http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/model_20.htm

It looks like they think great things of Dana 20 cases. "It is nearly remarkable how much power this compact transfer case can transmit and sustain. It is not so rare to see them handling Big Block grade power and deep, compound gearing."

never had any performance problems with my dana 20.however, i was not a fan of the j-shift pattern.i have a sm465 and could not shift into reverse without the tranny shifter hitting the t-case shifter when she was in low range.a custom bend in one of the shifters would probally solve that problem.
