Transfer case identification

Can anyone confirm this is an np241 with vss? The owner said its from a 90 k5 blazer.
Also is 300 decent for a 700r4/np241 combo? Has torque converter as well.

I'm only interested in the transfer case but may have to purchase together.

On a side note, I wasn't planning on using the 700r4 but if I have to buy it together, I may try and use it. Would a 700r4 live behind a stock 01 5.3 LM7? If not, what upgrades would i need to do?

Sure looks like a vss 241

The trans is worth that much as a core, and a good 241 can go for 3-400

There's lots of things you can do to a 700 to help it not have 5 neutrals. I'd recommend a good trans builder like @Greg Ducato

Yes that is a NP241 with VSS. It obviously has been apart somewhat recently because of the difference in the case halves and the large amounts of red silicone.
That 700R4 will hold behind a stock 5.3 if it is in good condition, but I personally don't see any reason to go through the work to use it. You will have to get a flexplate spacer and a custom TV cable from what I know.
I believe that the driveability and performance gains from using an electronically shifted transmission is well worth it. But I also prefer to get shift kits installed, too.
