Transfer Case question NP208-NP205

Hi my name is John and I have an 85 K5 with an SM465 and NP 208 but I want to put in an NP 205. I got a good deal on an SM465 NP205 combo but the thing is that the setup is out of a 70 chevy and it uses the 10 spline with the Coupler. The tag on my NP208 says it was manufactured in late 84. Does it still have the 10 spline or had it already changed to 32 spline by then? I would rather just put in the transfer case and not have to do the whole tranny. Thank John

all the sm465/np208 are 32 spline, its the sm465/np205 that changed in 85 to 32 spline.

Thank you for the info. I'm sure there will be many more questions to come. I was also woundering since my NP205 won't bolt up to the SM465 because it's 10 spline what 32 spline end do I need? I have herd that the Turbo 400 long 32 spline input will bolt right up is that true? Thanks again John
