Transfer case question???

I want to know how much fluid to put in a 208 and what type of fliud and which is the whole to fill it up, ones high and ones low????

I just use strait gear oil, and fill it up with the top hole and fill it till it comes out.

the np208 uses ATF, and i think its 4.5 quarts, havn't done it in a while.

ATF of Dexron2 or better standard. I've used gear oil in a pinch, but hear that its not a good idea in the 208. it will take 4.5 quarts to fill to the rim of the fillhole

4.5 quarts sounds about right. thats about how much i put in mine today, i used dextron III/mercon stuff.
