Transfer case question?

I have a 88 sub with 400trans and 208 transfercase and I have a 700r4 trans with 241 and I want to swap out transfercase. I want to know what is needed to do the swap or is it a direct replacement. I want to keep the 400 and mate it with the 241 and take out the 208. Thanks

I believe the 241 and 208 are mostly interchangeable. I think the only difference is the length of the input shaft.

So what is involved in swapping changing input shaft.

Complete t-case disassembly. You'll need a 241 32 spling input as the 208's and 241's are different internally.
