Transfer case question

Hello everyone I am a new member. I had a question my transfer case in my '73 K5 blazer has gone out. I was woundering if i could put a NP208 that was attached to a SM465. How hard would this be? I currently have a TH350 with a NP203. Thanks in advance.

if you're going to swap cases... I wouldn't swap in a 208. Slip yokes suck. A 241 or 205 would be better choices. At any rate, AFAIK 465s are either 10 spline or 32. th350s are 27 spline. Me thinks there will be compatibility issues there. Alternatively... there are a bajillion np205s out there that are th350 friendly.

What adaptors would I need for the 205 would it be a direct bolt on?

a 205 that was originally mated to a TH350 will be a direct bolt in. You will need the adapter that corresponds with the 205 its different from the 203 adapter.
