Took my transfer case down to get it checked out because i have some vibrations at high speeds (50+ MPH) the guys at the shop took it apart and the noticed that the anulus casing is hitting and grinding on the other piece below it not familiar witht he names but its very notisable, the anuluas casing has some bumps on it and they are kinda gone now(watching the transfers case tranny side down) so they told me that thas the problem and the solution would be to put a spacer in between the tranny and transfer...so what do you guys think of this, they said its becasue the thing is pushing towards the tranny.
The spacer would be a clocking ring but i wont clock the transfers.

NP208??If part 11 got damaged you mid as well look for a good used one to hopefully get a good one out of because there not cheep. If what they were showing was the 4low lock ring in the front case half that was getting rubbed that's normal but can be shimmed.I have a good right up on another forum with pics that points out these problems. As far as the vibration could just be a drive line angle issue. Was it lifted?

no its not damaged, it just has some marks i dont really know how the other piece is calles but they rubbed togeter, on eof them had some nipples and the other holes so when ever the nipple rubbed over the hole it made the vibes so i think...and the tranny output shaft has marks that seems it was hitting something in the transfer...they dude told me to add a spacer in between the t-case and tranny and thats that he has seen this before...im gonna clock it anyways.. as for lift id say around 3" but the vibes is not continous
