I just replace the 350 transmission and 203 TC in my 74 K5 with a 700r4 and a 208 TC. I’m not a fan of the 80’s shifter and assembly. I’m wondering if there is away to use my my 1974 shifter for the 203TC with the 208? I would appreciate any insight.

Anything is possible with modification and fabrication.
IMO your current shifter would need torn apart to eliminate the 2nd shift arm to reduce drag in the shifter and clean things up.
Then you would need to decide if you want it in the factory hole in the floor. If so, you will need to figure out how to move the shifter forward since the 700R4 is longer.
And also need to find out if the 203 shifter has enough throw available for the 208. I would guess that it does, but verification would be good.
