Anyone have a source or part number for the 1-5/16" socket for the transfer case yoke? Figured I'd ask before spending $20 then effing it up by grinding on it to make it fit.

I've never needed a special socket to take a yoke off. Chrome or impact, both should fit. Is there a bunch of dirt caked around the nut?

"cake around the nuts"....sounds like my last birthday party. Oh, did I say that out loud?

Oops...I think I read that wrong. My bad. :D

I bought the chinese one from Autozone and it fits the yoke fine as well. Seems like the cheap sockets have a thinner wall and work better for that.

X2 on the autozone one. I had bought one from Sears and it wouldn't fit in my Dana 60 yoke. After grinding it (too much), it failed when trying to remove a seized pinion nut. The autozone one works great.

I just ground mine a little to taper the last 1/4 inch or so, it was a 3/4" drive though so pretty beefy.

Put a 1410 yoke on, makes it a non-issue :eek1:

I actually removed my 1310 with a pair of channel locks- my socket fit the new 1350 fine.
