i have a np208 transfer case and im swapping in a new trany but the driveshaft in the trany wont fit my Tcase. my question is can i swap the recieving face out of my t case to fit my new trans?

From what i'm trying to understand the input shaft of your t-case isn't the same spline as the output of the tranny you're swapping in? What trans are you going to be running and also what trans did the t-case come from?

t case trouble

the new trany is a turbo 400, the old trany is a 3 speed for a chevy 350. i dont know any more than that. and i have no idea what t-case was used with the turbo 400

im guessing you are talking about swapping in a 205, and you have to get a different driveshaft with a slip on it, just like your front driveshaft.

TH400's used a 203,205,208,241 of which all require a 32 spline input on the t-case and the appropiate adapter to match. The TH350 came with a 203,205,208,241 of which all require a 27 spline input on the t-case and the appropiate adapter to match. Usually you can swap the correct input gear into the t-case but you'll still need the proper adapter for the trans/t-case combo you're going to use.

so i need to buy an 32 spline imput to fit my t-400 trany to my np208 which had a t-350? where can i buy a adapter? web sites? why would i need to get an adapter if i swapped the input on the t case? wouldnt that be all i need? thanks

No, the different trans/transfer combos used different adapators between the different transfer cases. It is not just a bolt up to get different transmissions to work with different t-cases.
