i have an 86 chevy k10 with a broken transfer case model 208 ci i found another one thats model 208 c is their a diffrence?? ratio numbers are the same 261 do the serial numbers have to match sorry first time doing a transfer case swap.

What trans do you have? the 208 for a manual trans or a TH400 has a different spline count than one for a TH700r4 or TH350 which has a 27 spline input for the T-case.

I have the 700r4 with the 208 so as Long as I match the ratio and model number will it work?? What's the diffrence between a 208c and a 208 ci

first off no its not the same match. go read last post again. there is 2 diffrent input sizes.

and as far as 208c and 208ci not sure what it is. i have never seen a ci on the tag.

but d= dodge
c= chevy
j=jeep

you need a 208 that came behind a th700r4 or a th350. should be very easy to find. count the splines on your replacement. if its 27 that will work.
