so basically i got a holley truck avenger carb for my 84 k5 threw it on and went for a test drive, not even a mile from my house my rear drive shaft was ripped from the u joints and upon closer inspection my t-case is completely cracked and screwed. i happen to have a broken down 1993 s10 blazer with a 700r4 but it has a np233c t-case. am i able to throw it on my k5 and have it work??

no, put a passenger drop 208 or 241 in
what the S10 has is driver drop[/QUOTE
damn...was hopping i got lucky hahah, i hear a np203 or np205 will work as well any truth to that? any idea which is best to go with? and lastly any idea what would of caused my t-case to crack like that and drive shaft to fall off?

There are 27 spline 203 & 205s. Both require an adapter since they are not the same.

Plus the reduction ratio is atrocious

Go find a 208/241

As for broken t case, usually its severe abuse like trying to emulate Superman or Ken Block

no its the same adaptor on the tcase your using from th350 to 700r4 4 bolt pattern. . . . . . but its the length of the tail shaft on the 700r4 that's to long as never factory with 203 or 205 . there is aftermarket short tail shafts for this . also some use a spacer plate to make up the length difference to keep from tearing down a whole tranny just to swap a tail shaft out .

so if i use said spacer between tranny and t case itll just bolt right up with no other mods needed? any info on how big or even where to get said spacer?

Sorry, should've clarified the 208/241 cases have the round pattern, 203/205s as you stated

that would be correct .

the 208/241 are a basic direct swap over .

if me go 241 . bit stronger and more aftermarket support. and hair better ratio in low.

You need to look for 89-91 suburbans or blazers to snag the 241 you need
