I just took my 465-205 out of my 80 k10.I put a turbo 400-208 case, out of a 84 sub,all bolted up fine, but my front drive shaft will hit my crossmenber, what needs to be done, can i rotate the case up, so it clears the crossmember,or will that hurt the case,I can use some expertise here, thanks

IIRC the 400/208 crossmember had a u-shaped piece to it to clear the crossmember.

You can find that crossmember or clock the t-case up like you mentioned. The problem with clocking the t-case is that it puts a lot of angle on your front driveshaft, generally way more than a stock shaft can handle.

if i decide to leave the case rotated, because it seemed the case hung below the crossmember to low, whats the best driveshaft to get,i have a dana 44 in the front,it has a 2 degree shim, how much further can i go ,and be safe,it only sees trails ,no street, with a little more degree to it,will it help when i put a better drive shaft in it,

i put the one out of the donor sub, hoping it would work,my truck only has a four inch lift, any idea which vehicle has the right crossmember

Well if the drivehaft is hitting the crossmember, I'd have to think that unless the new driveshaft is super skinny, it would hit too.

I'd have to guess the the donor vehicle would have the right crossmember, but if you already used it I don't know what to say. Could you mount it farther forward or back to make it work? Rotating the case up seems like a lot of work.

after reading the replies, i started looking at the crossmembers again,i had the notched out piece that goes on the driveshaft side ,on the other side,i switched them, and what do you know,iy will work, now im back in business,i rotated the case up,just to see what it would look like,i like the ground clearance, with the case tucked up in there, but what a drive shaft angle,i put it back to normal, the stock drive shaft works now, almost ready to go again, thanks for the replies
