Transmission cooler suggestions....

Some folks here have discussed using an air conditioner condenser. Especally if you don't run AC.
Its already got the mounts, it is larger than a lot of them, and it should have no problem with either temperature or pressure.

Quite a lively discussion ensued about over-cooling the tranny oil, especially during winter.
Don't know if a consensus was ever achieved.
Also, whether to leave the original radiator cooler in the circuit and whether to put it ahead or behind was debated.

Someone here ought to remember that thread and can post a link.
 
Interesting, would love to see that thread, it's hot here so over cooling wont be an issue summers are 110+ winters are about low 60s so that wouldnt be an issue.....

i think it ended up being cooler-radiator-trans for cold climates and
radiator-cooler-trans for warm areas
 
basicly yes but a stacked tube style almost a stacked plate.

thay do use the stacked plate now tho on there stuff.
