Transmission dipstick broke

Just after I took the tranny dipstick out of my 700R4, the last five inches of it broke off . I'm so lucky that this didn't occur when the dipstick was in the tranny. How bizzare-the dipstick failed before the 187,000 mile seasoned tranny. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement dipstick, preferably oem?

99% sure GM still sells them.

You can get it cheaper than the dealer through various online people/places, but you need someone to look the part number up for you first.

Edit: Couple years back they were around $8 for a LOCKING one from the dealer.
