Can you run Type F in overdrive trannies like the 700R4 and 4L60/80? Type F works great in the older THM200, TH350, THM400 etc. But not sure on the new ones.

Is there a reason you want to do this? I would just stick with the Mercon myself. These trannies have enough problems without having to worry about the proper fluid causing a problem.
My 700R4 is having problems.
In the past I have had several transmissions that slipped so bad that the car would not move. After a complete flush and putting in type F they all ran for over a year without any problems one car ran for 5 years before the car was sold.
