When i go to put the gear back in park it is hard to get into place. it comes out of park just fine but is tough to put back in park. Any ideas?

linkage needs adjusted, or the pivot point near the tranny is wore out. Had to fix mine on my old CC. it did the same thing. bout ran my self over once. I put it in park like normal, hopped out, and headed around behind it. then realized it was clicking and getting closer FAST. bumper hit me and knocked me back and I managed to get back in and stop it:rolleyes: Close one

How do I go about adjusting the linkage? I have never done that before. I know a little about working on trucks but not real in depth.

Literal takes 2 min. I had to do mine this weekend .. same issue. Underneath the truck on the driver side you will see next to tranny pan ( drivers side) the rod that comes down… has 1 bolt (1/2 head) pinched in holding the rod on another rod going up under hood. Loosen that bolt… push the rod upward about ½ inch.. tighten and then try park… you should have some spare rod hanging below that bolt…. I had about 1.5 inches spare. Depends on lift, tcase lift, etc.
