The cable length and end connector on the kick down cable for my newly installed, but used T-350 is much different than the one on my old broken 700r4. Does anyone make a conversion and if not, how can I properly connect it ton my 84 q-jet carb. I have purched a used non computer controlled Q-jet that might hook up just fine (dont know yet as it needs to be rebuilt) but for the time being and until I can get all the new ignition stuff set up, is there a way to make the 78 T-350 kick down cable work on the 84 computer controlled carb?

buy the kickdown cable for a 84, or rig up a different bracket

I had one but it would not fit the T-350 tranny. The housing was to big and I was not about to drill out the case of the tranny to make it fit.

T-350 has a cable? I thought it just used a vacuum line.

What about the 3/4 or 1-ton trucks from the mid 80's that didn't get a 700? Do they have the right bracket?
