Hi All,

I have a new set of tranny mounts for my 1975 K5 that I need some help with. I notice that when I took out the old mounts that one side had a steel tube in the hole in the mount. Only one side had this, and the two mounts that were there were different. Do I need it? Can anyone tell me exactly what to put back on the truck, perhaps like this

Upper Rubber Mount -> Crossmember -> Lower Rubber Mount ->Washer -> Bolt

Is that it or do I need more.

Also I notice that in the shop manual there is a funky claw looking washer, is that necessary or will a regular washer work?

Thanks

damn, I think ur the closest to me. Chino you say.

Anywho, I think we need a picture. I'm totally confused. The "claw" washer sounds like another type of lock washer that bites into the material. I'm sure a regular washer/ lockwasher combo will be good.

it goes upper mount, crossmember, lower mount, steel sleeve through the 2 mounts, bolt, and mine has a flat washer then the claw washer, hope that helps

what brand of mounts did you get? Are they any good? I need to get some mounts also.
