Actually, I went with the computer option. There is more tuning I have to do cause it acts wierd sometimes, but overall, its kicks some serious a$$. I love the 4l80e and not ever having to worry about a higher HP motor breaking it is an amazing feeling.
Btw I ended up getting the rebuilt and enhanced 4l80e for free, and I only had to buy the controller.
Im using a TCI controller that I got off ebay for 400 bucks. I paid 400 for 241 and SYE kit. I built my own crossmember and shortened my own driveshaft (dont know how I got it balanced). So all in all, I paid around 900 bucks for a 4l80/241/sye combo. Actual cost would have been around 2200 on the cheap side had I not looked for deals and made a deal w/ the trans guy to get it for free.
