My th350 is starting to get slow going into reverse. I haven't had a whole lot of time to look into it but from searching it seems like it might be on its last legs. With that being said, would now be the time to swap? If so whats better 700r4, th400 or rebuild the th350. I'd also like to keep it as simple as possible and keep the existing np205. So lets hears some opinions and if I'm swapping to something else what all is involved?

The cheapest and easiest is to rebuild the TH350. The TH350 and 700R4 both share the same 27 spline output shaft count but the 700R4 has a longer output shaft and you would either need to buy the short shaft or the tech-pak fitzall spacer, and the 700R4 is a longer trans versus the TH350. The TH400 uses a 32 spline output shaft, different adapter, and the trans is longer than the TH350. Anything other than rebuilding the TH350 you will be modifying/moving crossmembers, and doing driveshaft mods.
