Well I was gonna install a transmission cooler in my 78'. Well I wanted to use steel lines to the cooler. My questions are, can i use a single flaring tool, or do i need a double flaring tool? Or would compression fitting be better? I also wanted to put a temp guage in place of the clock. Does any one know what guage will fit in place of the stock clock? and i was gonna use a "T" fitting off of the lines for the sensor should i put it before or after the coolers?

B&M has a kit, does any one know if the gauge will fit in place of the clock?

Thanks

I ran -6 an line for mine, 5/16 is the stock hardline size.

I use industrial compression fittings (swagelok, parker, etc.) and 3/8'' stainless lines on my race car. A 'T' will work fine and put it before the cooler, thats the temp which is most important.
