I have a funny feeling my tranny is about to go, smells real bad (burnt). It's a stock 91'. If I were to get a replacement tranny could I just put in a th400? Would I need another adaptor for the np241? Would it be worth the trouble, right now it is a semi dd.

Oh, BTW I have a sm465/208 combo on my garage floor. I was going to swap into my 09, but I don't think I want it in the 91'.
