Does anyone know if there are any differences for the transmissions between a 95 4dr Tahoe and a 97 4x4 Ext cab short bed silverado. Both Half ton, 4x4, the tahoe has a floor shifter for the transfer case and the silverado has a push button. Both auto and 5.7. Though the silverado has a vortec. The tranny blew in the silverado and the tahoe is about shot. So I was gonna switch them. Thanks for the help.

you can switch the trannies, but leave the stock tcase in the vehicle. My only concern is the 1997, does it have a removable bellhousing or a 6 bolt tailshaft. I know the 1995 is a 4 bolt tailshaft, and you could make it work if there different, just swap the adapters as well.
