needing a new one for my sm465 in my 86 blazer. on lmc i see two of them the first page it shows it for almost $70 for polyurethan and the second page it shows it for only $20. whats the difference? which one do i need? is it worth it to spend the extra money? and i know the page is for the trucks but i couldnt get the blazer pages to load, figured they cant be any different.

From what I remember energy suspension only listed one part number for the trans mount for K5/truck. $70 is way too much for that mount, I think I was able to pick up new poly mounts for my trans from the local parts store for about $25.

As quoted, screw LMC and get Energy Suspension bushings instead. Much cheaper and better.

I've heard it said that you don't want to run mixed bushings in your powertrain. In other words if your engine mounts are still rubber get a rubber bushing for your trans.

You heard right. But I haven't experienced that yet. I would only "assume" that would be the case if the engine were souped up, hot, etc.

Do you really think its necessary to change one or the other on bushings if the motor is a stocker that puts out puny numbers from the factory? I didn't think so either.

He should take into account the condition of the engine mounts too though. I think if the engine mounts were old and deteriorated and he put a brand new poly trans mount in then he might see some repercussions.

i didnt take the chance, Kert at DIY4x.com hooked me up with his awesome motor mounts and a matching trans mount. night and day over 23 years old busted rubbermounts.

I am running Kert's motor mounts and the energy suspension poly trans mount. It really seems to make the truck feel much better and my trans stays in gear now

i replaced the motor mounts about a year ago, and didnt even think about the tranny mount. its pretty wore out. im thinking im just gonna run stock not poly just because the next time i will replace it all together with poly mounts for the engine, tranny and body when i can afford it.

I just bought new Energy bushings for my 465/205 setup from Summit and they were like $55 bucks plus shipping. Much cheaper than LMC
