well, I was gonna get some stuff so I can do some Custom tranny cooler lines. Well my grandpa says I can use copper instead of steel hard lines, Is this true? Also would trans line be double flared or? I am gonna be ordering a B&M tranny temp gauge, where on the hard lines do i put the T fitting sneding unit thing, do you just unscrew the feed line and just put the fitting in there or do you gotta cut the lines? by the way this is for a TH350 if that matters?

Thanks

As for the B&M kit, it comes with instructions; however, in short, you cut the hard line and splice it in. No flaring required for that as the kit uses compression fittings.

Last I looked copper pipe was stupidly expensive, so I'm not sure why you'd WANT to use it over steel, unless you happened to have some available.

Why not use regular rubber lines for the tranny cooler?

i used my ac condenser, since i removed all other a/c stuff took lines out of radiator cut off flares and used short peices of rubber hose and double clamped each connection

Well it dont rust and my grandpa can get ahold of it cheaper, cause of his connections in the heating and air conditioning world.

I wanted to do some custom lines cause i love the clean look for stuff. and i also like creating more work for myself:doah:

i ordered a coolre and temp gauge for my 700r4, didn't install yet though, but here is what i ordered..

it has a lifetime warranty

and the temp gauge

with my guage there is a plug in on the trans, but for your setup they said you can run the gauge on theinut line where it goes into the cooler (where the fluid is really hot) or have your pan cut taped and welded to have the plug fit..

with the one going with the line they said all you need is a brass doubler to singler (or something along those lines) i simply called up auto meter and they gave me a run down. good luck with it and let us know how it turns out.

I alredy got a good size cooler

Its says for a class C motor home pulling a 10,000lbs trailier, and I got an alumium extra capacity tranny pan, and the cooler is gonna be ran through the radiator than the cooler. So this transmission will be realy cool
