I have fluid coming from crack between tranny and t case. Also from bell housing cover on my 90 K5. I am guessing front and rear seals on the 700-R4. I think I have under 125000 miles but I forget. Anyone else have suggestions. I was hoping to avoid a complete rebuild.

A crack between them isnt a problem if the seals dont let fluid out of either of them. Or are you saying a crack in one of the cases.

I was losing between a pint and a quart of fluid from the back of the th350 into the np205 on my 72 every 150 miles or so right after I bought it. Bought some Lucas Tranny stop leak, dumped it in, and it sealed it up pretty good. Still have to add a pint every thousand miles or so, but not near as bad as it was. First time I've ever used it, that was back in December, but I only drive it 50-100 miles a week or so.

I think the truck sat for a while before I bought it, that might have had something to do with it.

Edit: Probably a temporary solution, but since its just a weekend toy, I didn't see the point in spending the time or money to fix it right until I have to. Might last a while, might not, but it was only $7.

I dont think there should be a crack between the two. There is no output seal for the tranny. the NP241(assuming the same as a NP208) has an input seal for the output shaft. The adapter has a seal to the face of the xfer case and one (oring) to the transmission. The xfer case is not very hard to take down and the adapter wouldnt be much extra trouble if you could support tranny.

My TCC input seal is fragged as yours prolly is also. I just try to park nose high to minmize leakage until I rebuild

Check your bolts between t/case and tranny, may be loose
Mine used to work loose on my 700/208 set up and would leak ttill I tightend them up.
