Trasfercase problems

Last night messing around the sand pit I heard growling while in low range then all of a sudden no more power to the front end. I still have power to the front in four high. Any body know what gave in my transfer case? It is a 350/205.

bad linkage due to the shift forks wearing and no longer allowing full/any engagement of the shifting collar to the gear splines. try beating the lower shift fork in all the way when the shifter is in 4lo
