Trasnfer Case brace relocation

I have an 87 with a 700/208 combo. The brace between the bellhousing and the Tcase is in a very inconvenient location for me. I'm trying to push my exhaust towards the t case so that I have space for a link mount on the inner side of the frame. Short of removing it altogether what have you guys done to relocate it, or eliminate any interference?

run your exhaust on the drivers side like stock plenty of room over there even for duals

Build a bracket (with bushings) going from the threaded boss on the t-case to either the frame or crossmember. Similar to the old 205 side brackets.
