So im thinking that im gonna make the Jimmy into a Timmy. I already have a rust free truck to part out and use the cab and some extra sheetmetal. Can some people post up some pics of the crossmember they made to support the back of the cab?
 
Well if the jimmy is a 77 like your screen name says, then you dont need to build a rear cab crossmember. The truck cab will bolt right on
 
In 1978 GM changed the floors in K-5s. They added a rear passenger footwell. Because of this, they moved the body mounts to outside the frame rails. Prior to 78 the body mounts in that area were inside the frame rails, same place as pickup truck cabs (73-87). So you are lucky, the truck cab will bolt right on, no modifications are necessary
