Anyone have any experience with these? I know blah blah retreads blah blah. Some people have had issues, but I have a few friends running the Wardens and love them. Figured it is worth a shot.

I found some military 37s, complete set of 5 for $300 with 70% tread. I think they may be really noisy for driving on the road though. I used to have a set of grooved BFG Mud Terrains on my old Yukon and my wife complained about the noise all the time. :haha:

I've heard that the Guard Dogs aren't that loud and don't do the normal wah wah down the road, but figured I'd see if anyone has any experience with them.

I'm going to be running the 37s if I do this.

I have them in 315-70r17 and they defanatly are not quiet but not extreamly loud. They do not make the normal wah wah wah its a higher pitched whine at lower speeds and its worse on fresh asphalt.

I wonder if the used Hummer tires will do the same or if they wah wah?

i run 37" hummers and thay arnt bad like a swamper but no a/t tire tread.

guys say thay suck stoc in mud and heavy rain i guess.

here is a few pics of groved/cut patterns.

i would go local stock 37" tires and skip the shipping and possible problems with retreads.

and get 5 tires on stockers. sidewalls little thin. so spare = good thing.

Well, I can't get a hold of the local guy. I came across a set of H2s for $100, so I think I might just take the three 315/70/17s I have that are about 70+% tread and find one more and use those until I wear them out, then start looking for some options for bigger tires.

They are as loud as any other mid terrain tire

Something I noticed ... they had a lot more 'squishy' feel than other mid terrain tires I have used.

^Yeah they do.

As for the Guard Dogs, I think my 37" Military BFG's are quieter than the 33" Guard Dogs were. They had a pretty good hum to them. Warden's are quiet. Although I can't hear much over this motor though either. I would take SweetK30's advice.
