How many of y'all have used these tires? I am looking for a set of tires for my DD Silverado and I can't really spend the 800+ on the size I want right now (285/75/16's).

Basically what I am looking for is good/bad/horror stories about them. Thanks

Never ran em myself but I know at least a dozen guys who have run em. No issues whatsoever.

If I get around to putting some 315s on my dually they will be my first choice

they run okay. The MTR type tread is a little louder than you'd expect but they are good tires especially in the snow.

A friend has them and likes them. Pretty sure they're 265's.

I seem remember yellowk20 saying he wasn't a fan. Can't remember the reason now though.

I have Warden 285/75R16 tires on my Blazer. Had them on for over a year, and the tread is still extremely new looking.

I will say the shipping was fast, and I "requested" BFG casing, and they said they would try, but could not promise me any particular casing. They ended up all being BFG casing :D.

I can't comment on loudness cause I put the tires on and pulled the old carpet out and put on a softop at the same time so everything is loud now :dunno:

I have had to apply the brakes pretty hard a few times, and the traction has been great on pavement. Traction in snow is unknown to me, but light off-roading and light mud has been no issue so far. Great DD tire in my opinion, and for roughly $750 got 5 tires delivered.

Balancing has been the Only issue. Had to mount weights on both side of the rim to make them balance.

Awesome, thanks for the review. I was looking at the wardens as well, and from what I've seen, you can't beat the price or the quality.

Just snapped a few pics. Notice the weights.

This is about 4,000 miles of use.

Guy at my church has a set on his JK. Iasked him about the side walls because you can't see the retread joint. He said they offer full sidewall recovering. All one piece with the tread.

Have them on two light duty pickups and a medium duty truck and have been very satisfied. https://www.treadwright.com/
Have the following:

245/75R16 Guard Dog MT on a 1991 Chevy K2500

315/70R17 Guard Dog MT on a 1984 CUCV M1008 (K30)

245/70R19.5 Crawler MT on a 2005 Ford F550 4x4
Crawler MT in no longer available in this size, but Guard Dogs are.
These are only used in the winter time with the rear singled out for offroad farm use.

The only thing I don't like is the Kedge Grip option, they are wearing extremely fast on the 550. Maybe some of the accelerated wear is due to this medium duty truck weighing 10,760 lbs with a full tank but unloaded.

The Guard Dogs do howl on pavement. Fortunately almost all of the driving is on gravel and dirt roads, and offroad.

im running a set of the 37s, they are doing pretty good. with that size just request a good case like a bfg and prepare to have some weight put on to balance them. mine have worn good for being a mud terrain. for the money I'd buy them again.

I had a set of their tires during the waning days of High Tec Retreading (what they used to be named). Horrible. However I heard nothing but good before that and now hear nothing but good. I think all the crap that happened with the company and then eventually made them change the name was going on when I got my tires.

I'd consider a set again with everything positive I hear about the tires now.

I had the same size on my old truck for two years and am going to put 37" on my Burban this year. I love them for the price.

I litterally picked up 6 of them for my dually for winter duty 2 weeks ago.

but they are 245/70r19.5. but still the guard dog patteren with the "Kedge grip" for winter duty.

I'm expecting them to do very well on my dually.

Those look mean.

I wish they'd update some of their "older" sizes and styles. The AT and MT patterns they have in 235/75R15 are their original styles and based on tread patterns that went out of production decades ago. I'll spend an extra $200 and get tread patterns at least designed in the 90's.

They do great, but take them off the moment you don't need them anymore to minimize wear. I'm guessing the Kedge Grip wears almost twice as fast, although I'm comparing Crawlers with Kedge Grip to regular Guard Dogs if that makes a difference. They used to have a disclaimer statement about faster wear with Kedge Grip on the web site, but I don't see it anymore.

see heres where we differ a little. I got all 6 of these for about $850 right. The tires that are on my truck now are $850 each........

these are the sacreficial lamb. know what I'm sayin.
