they're $150ish each depending if you get 225s or 245s or Load G or Load H or Kedge or No kedge........

but they're all between $130 and $160 each basically. for that price I'll keep buying them unless they' prove to be truely horrible. But i don't expect that with a HD casing. all my casings are goodyear. you can request matched casing or just go with whatever you get. all same size just different names.

My brother had a set of the BFG at look a likes on his old Dodge (2500 2wd diesel), they were on Yokohama casings and overall I think he was really happy with them.

i have 285/75/r16 guard dog on my 91 2500 sub and cant complain, if i remember right i have toyo or nitto casings. 3 balanced fine and one took 11 ounces.

Have you checked with them about sending your tires in for retreading?
I checked into it twice. The first time they told me that I could send mine in, but that they could not promise I would get my retreaded casings back. The second time, they didn't say they wouldn't retread my casings , but really recommended against it, and did and said everything possible to discourage me. I am guessing they had plenty casings in those sizes, and didn't want to mess around keeping track of mine, which is understandable.
Now with their Bead to Bead remolding, I am sure they will not be able to send out retreads that are all the same brand. Are there markings inside the tire?
I have a set of six Goodyears and six Continentals that I would like to retread, maybe I will call them tomorrow.

I've put around 20-25k on mine. They are 265/75 r16,load range E, they bfg all terrain knock off. They are on my one ton psd. They don't look new anymore, but I'm happy with where they are for what I've done to them moving down to co. I did have one that took more weight too. All yokohama casings. I will buy again when these are done.

I thought all their retreads were Bead to Bead, but it is only selected sizes for now.
Somewhere, a long time ago, I read that all sizes would eventually be B2B and I assumed that was the case by now.
I recently ordered a 315/70R17 GUARD DOG M/T for a spare, and that size is only available as B2B.

The two times I talked to them they never mentioned anything about extra charges for using my own casings.
But they did emphasize, several times, that there is no warranty on retreads done on customer supplied casings.

I was told they do the same inspection, and if they can't warranty them, they would notify me. Maybe things have changed since then.

I ran a set and liked them. I also knew quite a few guys who ran them in Lincoln back when they were Hy-Tec, and they had no problems either.

You are probably right. The first time I checked into retreading my casings was shortly after the ownership and name change and then about 1 year later.

I bought my tires in late 2005 and delt with them for a year. They were still HT then. Customer service was horrible.

Still, before that and now that they are Tread Wright I hear nothing but good things.

Just a mention here, no personal experience but my tire guy says he has seen the bad experience with people coming to him with those tires.
He also got one of the b2b and it was labeled the wrong size.
I still might get a set and try them... we'll see.

The problem with opinions and stuff like that from guys like him and guys like me. IE mechanics and such. Is we only EVER see the broken and ****ed up ****.

The guys that never have a problem never come to us. So in my opinion there's 10 good for every one bad.
