While I was installing my lift I checked my TRE's and them seem to have excess movement and they are original so I think Im gonna replace them and the adjust sleeve.

Looking at LMC they show the 88-91 (item 7, 8 and 9) as having a TRE on each end and just a tube in the middle. But looking at mine its more like the 76-80 (4,5 and 6) they show where the driver TRE is one piece with tube attached....whos wrong here them or me?

Also looking at rockauto they show both options...wtf should I order?

anyone got any good numbers for these?...moog?

im a fan of the 81-91 style, if you bend a tierod, you can get a new one (or make one easily) and re-use your ends, if you bend a tierod that has the end incorporated in it (76-80) you have to replace the whole piece which is expensive.

I am guessing that LMC is wrong. I just looked at my 91, and it has the older style one as well. I would just order the one that your truck has on it now. Maybe Gm was using up some of thier old parts when they built the 91s?

I bet it was changed at some time. The one that should have came on it is the one with 2 ends on it. I change mine years ago to the older style becausethey are a soild bar, much stronger then hallo bar

Numbers 7, 8 and 9 are the normal tie rod parts for the '81 up to '91 K5, 10 and 20.

K/V30's had them like numbers 4, 5 and 6.

Thanks everyone, appreciate you looking and letting me know

Spoke to a buddy of mine last night and he said the TRE's should have some play in them, any way for me to make 100% sure these need replacing?
