I'm about to order my ORD shifters but on there web site it says in order to run triple stick you must modify the internals of the np205.

But no place on there site can I find what I have to do to modify the internals.

Can anyone
tell me what needs to be done in order to run triple stick.

Shift rails need grinding, but I donno what precisely as mine came done (thank you Camsk5!) Search for "grinding rails" and you'll find buku info I'm sure.

Or B_to_C can show you how it's done. He's ground the rails in his new 205.

You can do it with a grinder but I can tell you from seeing the way ORD measures and then machines them that using a grinder is crued at best.

The worst case is that you take to much and can shift the front into high range and the rear into low range and make the 205 into lots of small pieces.

You can send the rails to ORD and have them machined and refurbished for less than $100. They have this down and know exactly what to look for and do to the rails.

Well I'd have to disagree. I did mine with a 4.5" angle grinder, and it's far from crude. Shifts real smooth actually. Costed about $0, and I didn't have to wait on the UPS guy. It all comes down to whether or not a guy thinks he has it in him, I suppose.

You would have to really hose it up bad to get high and low to engage at the same time!:grind:

Sounds like you know! :ignore: Seriously though, MEK5 knows his shiftrails. Never seen more pics, or a bigger pile than this guy has.

I've ground mine using a 4.5" grinder and a file to clean it all up. Mine works fine but I'm not pleased with the slop in my fabed linkages. I need to redo them, hmm, or not. They work, just have some slop.

Thanks all for your input on this. I went and picked up my doubler and the unit is all setup for triple stick. This will save me some time and cash

Have I told you lately you suck:D
This wasn't the one that was for sale over on CO4x4 couple weeks ago?

Hey, were on the same team with this one:haha:

Only almost over ground one,the first one.I used a fuzzy magazine picture for reference guessing at the flat lenghts which ended up being to long but still would not engage hi/low.

I've got almost the same story. Man, the pics for this project used to be really crappy didn't they? My first one allowed you to push one stick partially into low while the other was in high, but would always spring back. You couldn't leave it there, so I guess that worked. Good thing there's so much better information out there now, really makes it easy.
