Well the truck had the check engine light come on twice today. I have the idiot gauges temp light DID NOT light up. The engine started running rough so as soon as I saw light I pulled off and raised hood let truck cool off and when cold it was good. I drove from Boulder to Nelson and it came on again. I raised the hood and let it sit for about 15 mins.

I have a slight exhaust leak still. All belts are tight and radiator is full. Any thoughts? I do not want to head north to SLC and get in deep poo with it.

Ground the A and B connection at the ALDL connector (2 upper right pins) and then see what code it's pulling. Paperclip or whatever from the A to the B terminal.

If you haven't done this before, just make sure you DO NOT start the engine with the A and B grounded or you could blow the ECM.

If you want my cell number i'll give it to you in case you need any assistance over the phone.

In Ely now just fueled up and taking a short break. On way to Utah via NV SR 93 to I-80 to SLC area.

That's it, I'm putting it in the garage and me and my teacher will look it over when you get here.:deal:

When he gets to my house tomorrow, I have a little code scanner that we can plug in to find out what is happening. He will have plenty of help, and he has my number if there are any issues between Wendover and Tooele. Should be arriving in Tooele around 1 in the afternoon. Will see if we can post an update when he gets here.

Ran the code scanner and there were no stored codes. It would appear that it was heat related, and it seems to be running great with the lower temps in this area.
