If i remember right, when you do the little jumper trick in the plug, the CEL will flash a 12, then any trouble codes then a 12 to signal end of codes. Then it will pause for a few seconds and start with another 12, *whatever codes* 12 again.
Have you set the timing recently? You will get a code 42 anytime you have disconnected the EST wire to time the engine.
