I just got my 700r4 back from the shop, they were replacing the second gear band, and the tail shaft?? the one that comes out of the back, has a little bit of play forward and backward but none up and down or side to side. Is that normal? I don't want to put it back in just to have to take it back out again. Thanks

Look into the slip yoke eliminator kit (SYE). You will love it if you ever have a failed driveshaft out on the trail. Lets you drive out without losing all your fluids. Have not had a problem with mine. Get it from High Angle Driveline.
