ok so i attempted to go led based off the other thread. some things not working and didnt know i had other issues. normal bulbs are back in...

reverse lights - check
brake lights - check
turn signals -check

now...
marker lights - nope
lil side bulb - double nope

so no rear lights driving down the road.
i dont have a test light so need to pick one up but where should i start? cant drive at night right now.

thx in advance

p.s. what confuses me is marking or parking lights so whatever their called.. bulb does tripple duty... 2 of 3 work. i had same problem with led bulb and thought i did something wrong..

Double duty, running lite and turn signal. check the fuse for parking-running lights. Also check ground for the marker and front running lights, turn signal work in back, should work in front.

so this is happening on both sides... not just 1 so ground on one side wouldnt do it?

good question since it is not a stock fuse panel. Stock light switch? All point to no power to running light circuits. Do both the turn lights work on the front and side marker?

I'd guess the fuse labeled "Stop" is for the rear tail lights,at least the brake lights--on original fuse boxes it says "Stop-Tail-Turn" I think..looks like this one breaks them up with separate fuses ?..

anyone loan me a match? fml... wtf!!!!

so my father is a retired mechanic... aka a drunk now. actually drunker than when he worked

with that I call him. i tell him i have turn signals...brake light..but no parking lights.. he says..

Heat shrink connector or wire will corrode and snap again.

Brown =tail
Green = right brake/turn
Yellow =left brake/turn
Light green = backup
Black = ground

I will post front in the am as I have that list in the shop .

These are at engine bay plug out to ends .

frustrated ...

it worked and i fixed a wire.. now broke more

Brown =tail - fixed
Green = right brake/turn - works
Yellow =left brake/turn
light green = backup - works
Black = ground - works

looks like im chasin

Yellow =left brake/turn

That's mud & water life eats them up . And salt don't help also .

heading to junkyard today to grab a harness out of a c10... i have another wire i fixed years ago where the plug is in the back. i pulled wire out of plug and soldered so its no longer unpluggable

square plug rear = weather pack plug with formed o-ring seal on body .

round plug more of a hope it stays dry thing .

vac brakes and booster not as beefy as hydroboost . but i my self prefer the clean dry master of the plastic bowl and aluminum body over the rusty and like to ooze cast iron .

front harness at firewall forward

dark green = horn
tan / white stripe = brake light warning switch at prop valve
brown = front marker
tan solid = low beam
light green = high beam
light blue = left turn
dark blue = right turn

to the best of my testing this week on one i am doing this seems to be correct .

seems to be working again...
so... years ago.. i wanna say when i was 18-19...
im 43 now. i had an issue with that rubber plug. i jumped a wire out of the plug and got it working. seems it stopped working while i was messin with everything else. cut this out...

think ill go back next weekend and spend the $25 for the other harness.... get rid of any cuts.

so i have 4 wires that run to the tail lights and a 5th wire...not quite sure yet where it goes. thinkin dual tank selector as thats last thing i can think running back down drivers side frame....im beat and done for now. cut all the grass..cooked on the grill...cleaned up then worked on truck. thx all for advice.

fyi ... i went with a different led reverse light and its nice and bright. liking it.

ok so i believe my rear turn issue now is the flashers..per @sweetk30...

I just replaced my gauge lights and wow...so bright...

well when i did the ez wiring.. it seems I didnt do the high beam light indicator wire..

so what color wire goes to the high beams and from where?... i may of never connected it as i went highbeams on the column...
