truck avenger questions?

Hmm, I may have to see which one I have. I've had it for almost two years, and I have off idle hesitation...probably a -1. One thing I like, is that I can let it sit for two months, and then turn the key and if fires right up like nothing I've ever seen. Took me a while to tune that thing though.

ditto on that.. however mine is tolerable... although never notice it at WOT!!!! :haha:

Mine is a 2 so I played with the timing last night and its a little better. Just a slight hesitation now. I put new springs on last night and now the peddle is stiff as hell. Need to work that out.

Try increasing the accelerator pump discharge nozzle size. IIRC the 670 comes with .028, I would jump up to a .032. Bet your hesitation would be gone then.

Well I already jetted mine down, and it's still to rich. I think I still have to go down a couple sizes. Even running rich, I'm getting better than 10 MPG out of it. Maybe I should try that discharge nozzle too. I wouldn't mind having the newer model though.
 
Now I am really confused, I had the timing professional set last night to make sure everything was right (4 degrees positive) now she stumbles from the start even worse and hesitates like crazy. I had the timing way advanced before so I dont know where to start now?
 
If you're anywhere near me, you could bring your rig over and I could help you tune it. I've got family visitng this weekend but any time next week I could help.
 
I am in S arlington off of 20 and Park Springs. At this point I dont know if it will make it that far. However, I believe Harry's is going to exchange it for me Friday as Holley thinks one of the weights is up side down? If that doesnt work how does a 12 pack of your favorite sound for the trouble?

Eh, I'd do it just for fun. I could drop by next week sometime.
 
took my truck out yesterday... ran pretty good.. still hesittes a tad....

but on my way home... wouldnt idle above 500rpms when leaving it was 800-900rpms... got home and smelled like she is dumping fuel in the cylinders.....
I got a qjet that I may just drop on and forgetabout the holley...... :doah:

however with vortec heads, intake and possible cam... I may just wait until those are done as the truck may require more go-go juice!!!! :haha:


p.s. also really funny... just put a mod on my truck....
it equals 0hp gains.. but gains 20% stare factor....
helped my bro move and he had a cow skull with horns on the wall.... so I asked him what did he want done with it and he said... throw it out.... he lived in florida years ago and had that whole floridian look.... you know... indian, tp's, etc.... aztec crap or whatever...

so I looked at him and said.. hey this would be cool on the beast.. he said do it and I did..... funny how people see it in their rear view mirror and adjust their mirror and stuff... it will probably not last long... will break eventually..... :haha:
 
I got Harry's to swap out my carb Friday and installed the new one yesterday. Havent even started ywt. I may take you up on the offer.
