Truck buying advice needed.

I am planning on paying off my Dodge magnum soon. Its been a great car, buy winters are killing me because it is rear wheel drive. I believe I can trade her in for a 4wd truck, but I am unsure what kind to get. I had a bad experiance with a 2005 Chevy Silverado so I would like to stay away from that model. Please any "helpful" advice would be cool.


I'm looking into the advantages of a diesel truck too.

Truck

It would be a DD, family stuff. I had two silverados before a 1500 and a 2500 (which fell apart after 5 years). Everyone raves about owning a diesel, I had a old 6.2 for 2 months once but the body was so shot I couldn't get to drive it much.
