Truck cab on blazer frame?

Found a 86'/forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif body in the paper and was wondering what was involved in putting that body on a 84' K5 frame. Do body mounts match? Does it matter if it's a 2wd body? I've heard that the truck body is 2" lower in the front, is that true? Now will be the best time since I'm about to start some major body work to fix the cancer on the Blazer. I think that a extra short bed would ROCK /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif. Pics welcome.

i believe the front 4 mounts match, rad support and front cab mount. the rear cab mount you will have to modify the truck cab mount to fit the blazer frame.

Sounds like a good idea. I plan on using a Dakota cab and a chevy step box. I won't have to cut much off the box, I will have a bit more fabing for the cab to fit. I am in the same position good frame and bad body, goodluck. Here is Backyard's truck:

Heres mine. 75 cab on 76 frame. Pretty straight forward.
