My 89 k-5 is setting outside getting abused by all the elements ( no garage ) while under repair. I was thinking of getting a good cover instead of using a tarp .Which ones should i look at?

I have no experience with the car covers, but is one of those "portable garages" a possibility where you are?

I suspect they'd be relatively cheap, and easier to work around/under than an actual cover.

I found my Suburban cover on E-bay. Fits perfect on my 86'. I did come across a cover for a K5 while looking for mine. Good luck.

Ive been told a canvas cover isnt nearly as bad as a blue tarp is.

I've got a cover for K5 I found on ebay. $90 or so, I only use it over night when I'm too lazy to put the soft top back up for the next day. Keeps the dew and leaves and pussies off my junk.
